WGS Fall Film Festival

Fall 2024

The Fall 2024 semester offered a screening and discussion of Dolores (2017), which explores the life and actions of Chicana feminist and labor activist Dolores Huerta.

Fall 2023

The Fall 2023 semester offered two screenings and discussions of documentary films that corresponded with Professor Porter’s Introduction to Women’s and Gender Studies (WGS 100) 416A section and Professor Genzale’s Women in Literature section (ENG/WGS 223). Members of the College were invited to attend and participate. Below are the details and attached assignments.

 1.) Knock Down the House was screened during Prof. Porter’s WGS 100 class session on Thursday, November 2nd in B-501 from 12:30-1:45PM.

2.) “Zora Neale Hurston: Claiming a Space” (2023) was screened during Prof. Genzale’s WGS/ENG 223 class session on Thursday, November 16 from 9:30am to 10:45am in C-352.
